The Allen County 9/11 Memorial
The Allen County 9/11 Memorial pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
The Allen County 9/11 Memorial is a place of quiet reflection where visitors can honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives that day. Embedded in the memorial are a piece of steel from the World Trade Center, a piece of limestone from the Pentagon, and a stone from the crash site in Shanksville, PA.
The memorial preserves the legacy and lessons of that tragic day. And to ensure that future generations never forget, the memorial committee is working with local schools to develop an educational program for children and is looking forward to hosting field trips from students across west central Ohio and beyond.
We encourage you to visit the Allen County 9/11 Memorial, reflect, and quietly pay tribute to those whose lives were lost, and to the heroism and patriotism that helped us recover.
